Hello,
I am a writer researching my second novel, which is set in New York in 1925. I am currently researching speakeasies, about which I've found no shortage of information, but try as I might I cannot find out how much a drink would cost at an upscale speak. Do you have any suggestions as to where I might find this information? Based on other costs of the era I'm guesstimating $2 to $4, but I've not find anything to back this up. Thank you so much for any insight you can share. You have a terrific site!
Best,
Jenny Nelson

Did the dress styles differ that much from 1921 to 1924? I need to make some costumes for Black women set in 1921 in Tulsa, OK. I saw the basic 1 hour dress and want to be sure this dress is accurate for the period of time. Thanks.
